Summer 2006 Annual BBQ/Birthday Jam!!!
A splendid time was had by all!  Great food, great fun, great musicians!!
For several years now I have had a BBQ/Jam session at my studio in the summer, usually around my birthday in June.

This year it turned out great, with good friends, good food, and good playin'!!

These pages have pics of the scene that night, starting out with my good friend Barry, without whom the party would not have been complete.
Geoff D. brought his friend Courtney this year, he was a great guy, and an excellent player. Courtney brought several really cool basses, this one is a repro of a sixties Ampeg bass, very nice!!
Also, you better sit down before I tell you this... ok, that's a 56 Tele Geoff is playing.
Needless to say I am chartreuse with envy.
Here's another pair I envy. The brothers Andrews, Kevin and Jeff. Kevin laid down some very good bass lines, some of the best I've ever heard him do. Jeff is my amp guru, owner and operator of Andrews Amp Lab. He played great, and brought some killer gear too: He pretty much built that guitar, and he brought his Plexified Guitarmate amp that sounds so good.
Without the SoundCloud band there wouldn't have been a party. Me, Martin, Maynard and Steve. We played some of our originals and jammed with the other fellas.

Kerry, my guitar guru and good friend stopped by and didn't bring any gear. BAD KERRY.

He insisted that he just wanted to hear us play but when he saw Geoffs 56 Tele he borrowed it and smoked on a couple of jams.
The always jovial "Reverend Rapilicious" Randy R. laid down some thunderous double bass drum that night.
Another friend of Geoff's, Greg, stopped by later and played some killer slide guitar. Nice Strat with EMG's, Greg.
Courtney was definitely the hippest cat of the night. To the right of him is Jeff Andrews heavily modified Traynor Guitarmate amp, it's now basically a mini Plexi, and more. It sounded awesome.  Jeff is working on making this amp commercially available.
I got the prize for the best guitar face of the night.

Looks like Geoff is marvelling at my technique.

It's either that or the girlie pics on my computer monitor.
